NNPC, NCDMB’ll collaborate to approve projects, contracts – Kachikwu

IT-  in the name of economic and political justice, please tell me why Baru from the North calls the shots at the national oil company, NNPC shutting out every Akwa Ibom indigene from senior positions? Very few Niger Delta indigenes are promoted to executive positions in a company that is  100% funded from oil ruthlessly exploited from their ancestral lands and waters. This is the human and civil rights issue of our time. Oil  money made through oil contacts awarded almost exclusively to Northern Muslims is used to fund Muslim Miyetti Allah kinsmen who are as we speak killing Catholic priests and other Christians in Northern Nigeria. Poor helpless Akwa Ibom sell  their family lands to travel for medical treatment from a lot of respiratory and other illnesses related to environmental pollution.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board will start using a one-stop shop arrangement before the end of this year for reviewing and approving oil and gas projects and contracts in a bid to shorten the industry’s contracting cycle.

A statement on Friday by the NCDMB quoted the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, to have said on Thursday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State at a meeting with top management of the board.

I am a civil, human and political rights activist. I chose to speak for the ignored and powerless. The Nigerian political scene is a jungle. Print and electronic media are owned by wealthy elites who irrespective of ethnicity and religion suppress public discourse of misgovernance, their political and economic ineptitude which has left Nigeria on it's knees. seeks to fix that. That is our aim. That is my life calling and purpose.
