Court Passes Death Sentence To 5 Men In Yola For Killing Herdsman

YOLA— A Yola High Court Presided over by Justice Abdul-Azeez Waziri has sentenced five men to death for culpable homicide and for killing a herdsman.

Court The convicts, Alex Amos, Alheri Phanuel, Holy Boniface, Jerry Gideon and Jari Sabagi of Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, were found guilty of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide which contravened Section 96 (1) (a) and Sections 79 and 221 (b) of the Penal Code of Laws of Adamawa State, 1997.
How can you sentence people to death for defending themselves

That is grave injustice! There was a public outcry of the destructions and killings caused by these Fulanis even the FG confessed that they do not have enough man power to protect citizens so how can you murder your citizens protecting themselves

• Or did they go to the Fulani herdsmen houses to kill them

What then becomes the fate of these herdsmen who are the perpetrators of this evil

Till date, I have not heard any court sentencing any Fulani/Bokoharam to death rather ther are being released from prison based on flimsy excuses

I am sorry to say this but asking an Islamic judge to preside over this case is not healthy for our democracy cause we all know how fanatic and sentimental some of them can be

It’s a case of charging Falz to court and asking MURIC to be the judge

It’s not too late to prevent us from celebrating them as martyrs of Buhari’s cold blooded administration in the future

Don’t ask for forgiveness in the future of the injustice you can prevent today @presidentBuhari

I am a civil, human and political rights activist. I chose to speak for the ignored and powerless. The Nigerian political scene is a jungle. Print and electronic media are owned by wealthy elites who irrespective of ethnicity and religion suppress public discourse of misgovernance, their political and economic ineptitude which has left Nigeria on it's knees. seeks to fix that. That is our aim. That is my life calling and purpose.
